Join us in celebrating Decatur&rsquo;s vibrant arts community and the Decatur Underground Theater&nbsp;by treating yourself and your loved ones to a heartwarming dinner that gives back. &nbsp; Each dinner includes a Nelson&rsquo;s famous&nbsp;roasted half chicken, mashed potatoes &amp; gravy, green beans, and a fresh-baked dinner roll with butter&mdash;all the comfort of a homemade meal without lifting a finger. Yum! Join DUT in supporting our local First Responders&nbsp;by donating a meal to our local Police Officers👮&zwj;♀️, Firefighters🚒, EMTs/Paramedics🚑, and 911 Dispatchers📞. Our goal, October 8th, is to provide a meal to every first responder on duty that night. That&#39;s typically more than 100 first responders.&nbsp; Your support makes a real difference. Let&rsquo;s make this event unforgettable together!

Help us bring beloved Broadway musicals to life and share high-quality, affordable entertainment with the Decatur community&mdash;showcasing local talent from around Central Illinois. DUT is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit company, so your donations are fully tax deductible; you will receive a receipt for tax purposes at the end of this process. Carolyn went home to the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 26th, 2026. &nbsp;Carolyn helped launch Decatur Underground Theater as part of our startup team, and her love for DUT ran deep. As Executive Vice President of Operations, she gave her all to keeping our operations&mdash;including our financials&mdash;running like a well-oiled machine. Her dedication has left a lasting mark on the DUT family. At the request of the DeLaughter family, we invite you to make a donation to Decatur Underground Theater in Carolyn&#39;s honor.
