This year's joint Community Initiative Recipient is the Greenville Police Athletic League, Inc. (PAL Program). The PAL program is a crime-prevention program operated by the Greenville Police Department serving youth ages 5–13 through sports, education, and recreation. Currently, PAL provides after-school programs at two locations, a summer camp (June–August) at three locations, and activities such as PAL Eagles Football & Cheer—helping children build confidence, build relationships, and connect with positive mentors and officers.
