Friends of Dewey helps keep Dewey Memorial Hall open, welcoming, and alive with nearly 100 events each year&mdash;concerts, game nights, jazz jams, Dahlia Festival, Sourdough Contest, ice cream socials, family programs, and more. Bid in the Dewey Memorial Hall Dahlia Festival Silent Auctionto us grow something beautiful in the heart of Dewey!&nbsp;🌸&nbsp; The Garden Makers project is bringing an Arts &amp; Crafts era&ndash;inspired garden to life behind our historic Community Hall &mdash; a space built on the same values that shaped the building itself: craftsmanship, natural materials, and community gathering.

Wednesday, Sept 16 | 6:30&ndash;7:30 pm Kick things off with Allison Chase&#39;s &quot;Cultivation-to-Competition&quot; workshop. Come learn her secrets for growing show-stopping blooms before the big weekend!Saturday, Sept 19 | The Big Day&nbsp;|&nbsp;Noon-4:30 pm This is what we&#39;ve been waiting for! Wander through a jaw-dropping display of dahlias entered in our homegrown contest. Grab a bouquet at the Bouquet Bar, make yourself a dahlia flower crown, and treat yourself to some good music, food and drinks. &nbsp;Join our flower arranging workshop and learn how to turn fresh-cut dahlias into a gorgeous arrangement. Say hi to local vendors, have the Master Gardeners test your soil for free, and don&#39;t forget to enter the raffle &mdash; there are some seriously great horticultural prizes up for grabs.Dahlia &quot;After Hours&quot; Cocktail Reception | 4:30&ndash;6:30 pm Once the contest winners are announced, keep the celebration going! Head out back to the tent for an evening of dahlia-themed cocktails and delicious small bites, at a backyard benefit in support of Dewey Hall&#39;s upcoming garden renovations. It&#39;s the perfect way to toast the day&#39;s blooms while helping grow what&#39;s next for the garden. Tickets support a great cause &mdash; come raise a glass with us!Sunday, Sept 20 | An Afternoon of Blooms&nbsp;| Noon-4:30 pm Dewey Hall turns into &quot;Dahlia Hall&quot; one more time! Bring the whole crew &mdash; family, friends, everyone &mdash; to soak in the beauty and see who took home the ribbons.Come for the flowers, stay for the fun. See you there!&nbsp;

Dewey Hall Mahjong Nights are BACK&nbsp; We&#39;re thrilled to announce an evening of open and guided Mahjong play &ndash; a relaxed, social night for anyone who already knows the basics, right on up to seasoned players. A note so you know what to expect: This is not a formal instruction night(which we hope to schedule in the not too distant future!). There&#39;s no class and no lesson plan. Experienced players will be on hand to answer questions, settle a rules debate, and help you find a table &ndash; but the evening is built around simply playing. If you know how the game works and want a friendly place to play it, this is your night. Tuesday, September 22 &ndash; 6:30 pm - Cost: $20 per player, includes pizza, wine and refreshments- RSVP by registering online for each event- Bring: Your 2026 NMJL card, if you have one. Mahjong sets are &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; provided.
