Dfw Refugee Outreach Services empowers refugees and survivors of domestic violence through support, resources, and community integration. We strive to create a compassionate environment where every individual can thrive and rebuild their lives.

The family&#39;s situation is critical after they received a negative decision in their asylum case. They now face the possibility of enforcement actions and fear being returned to detention as they seek further legal remedies.Their greatest concern is the possibility of being separated from their nine-month-old child during the immigration process. The uncertainty surrounding their case has caused tremendous emotional distress. The parents live each day wondering whether they will be allowed to remain together as a family and continue pursuing legal options.Today, this family remains in a small rented room with no income, no work authorization, mounting housing concerns, and an uncertain legal future. Despite everything they have endured, they continue to hope for the chance to remain together, pursue their legal options, and build a safe and stable life for their child.Their story is a reminder that behind every immigration case is a family, a child, and human beings who have already sacrificed everything in search of safety, dignity, and hope.

Seeking Refuge, Finding Hope

Last week, we received heartbreaking news.Saeeda has been diagnosed with cancer, and by the time doctors discovered it, it had already spread throughout her body. The woman who was always full of life is now only skin and bones. Yet her home remains immaculate, and her children&mdash;now young adults&mdash;have shown incredible strength, maturity, and love as they care for their mother. Two of the older children made the difficult decision to pause their education and work full-time to support their family.&nbsp; One works long hours at Walmart, stocking shelves, while the family struggles with transportation. One car was generously gifted by a family friend but breaks down frequently, starting and stopping without warning. The second car has no functioning air conditioning, making daily commutes during the Texas summer extremely difficult.This is a hardworking family that has never asked for help.&nbsp; We are raising funds to help this family purchase a reliable vehicle so they can continue caring for their mother during her treatment and navigate this incredibly difficult chapter with a little more security and peace of mind. The woman who spent her entire life caring for her family and serving others deserves to know that her community stands beside her now.
