Dignity & Renewal Center

Dignity & Renewal Center empowers women affected by domestic violence by providing safety, healing, and pathways to independence. They are committed to building shelters in Fortaleza, Brazil, and Newark, NJ, fostering dignity and new beginnings.

A Celebration of 60 Years ✨ Sixty years is a beautiful milestone—one that invites gratitude for the love, friendships, memories, and blessings that have shaped my life. As I celebrate this special chapter, I have one heartfelt request:Please, no gifts. Instead, if you wish to honor me, I would be deeply grateful if you would make a contribution to a shelter home in Brazil that offers women who have suffered domestic violence a place of safety, healing, and hope. There is no greater gift than knowing that our celebration can help another woman find the strength to begin again. Let us celebrate life by giving hope. Let us turn our joy into kindness, and together, help restore lives. Gil's 60th Birthday

Dear Friends, At Avalon Risk, we believe that exceptional relationships are defined not only by trust, but by shared values and a commitment to making a difference. Avalon Risk is honored to support a local certified nonprofit operating as Dignity & Renewal Center, which provides women affected by domestic violence with safety, healing, and a path toward independence. This year, they are building their first shelter in Fortaleza, Brazil, with a second location planned for Newark, New Jersey — expanding a mission centered on dignity, opportunity, and new beginnings. We would be delighted to have you join us on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Battello in Jersey City for an evening of exceptional cuisine, cocktails, conversation, and professional comedy in support of this meaningful cause. Two headliners will keep the room laughing all night: Chris M. — One of New York's busiest comics, Chris has opened for Joan Rivers and B.B. King and headlined in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and Reno. You've seen him on AXS TV's Gotham Comedy Live and in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, and he co-wrote and stars in the award-nominated Off-Broadway play Shut Up, Sit Down & Eat. Eric T. — A high-energy, clean act built on the things everyone in the room has lived through: an Italian family, married life, fatherhood, and turning 50. Eric has been seen on NBC's Last Comic Standing and Dry Bar Comedy, heard on SiriusXM's Rascal's Comedy Hour, and has played Las Vegas, the Borgata in Atlantic City, and clubs across the country. He also brings fifteen years of stage acting to the mic. To reserve your seat, please book by September 7, 2026, at A Night of Comedy.
