Driftless Journeys &mdash; DUO&#39;s Season Finale at the Nature Place. This is our biggest concert yet! Made possible by generous grants from the City of La Crosse Arts Board and La Crosse County, the Driftless Urban Orchestra&nbsp;is bringing together its largest ensemble ever for an unforgettable evening of music rooted in adventure and the American landscape. The program takes you on a journey through place, season, and sound. Aaron Copland&#39;s Appalachian Spring captures the quiet majesty of open country &mdash; hopeful, spacious, and deeply American snapshot of frontier life. Kimberly Osberg&#39;s Rocky Summer brings a vivid, wandering journey to life for the audience that was first heard in 2019, premiered by the Dallas Chamber Symphony. Both pieces are complemented by chamber works by Florence Price and Lisa Neher to round out the program and feature different combinations of players from our full group. Together, these four works trace a larger scene: a vivid journey through American sounds, landscapes, and experiences, and all performed by the local musicians who call the Driftless region home. The Nature Place provides the perfect backdrop for an evening like this &mdash; where the landscape outside the windows and the music inside the hall are in quiet conversation.Reserve your seat today.
