Earthsong Explorers fosters a love for nature through immersive forest school experiences, encouraging children to learn, play, and grow in outdoor environments while connecting families to the natural world.

Join us for a mini trial day of forest school. Families will:

Get a guided tour of Hart Square as well as Earthsong's "base camp"

Meet the forest school co-founders and Head Guide

Get all their questions answered

Learn more about our ethos

Have a chance to "try out" forest school before committing to enrollment

Experience free play at our base camp, which includes mud kitchen, zipline, swings, forts, and creek

The trial will require a ten-minute hike into and out of base camp, so please pack anything you may need (diapers, water, snack, etc.). There are restrooms at the Education Center near the parking lot and a compost toilet at base camp. The trail is fairly stroller-friendly - it's not paved but we've seen strollers and wagons make the journey. Baby-wearing is the preferred option for littles who can't hike, and we recommend dressing your kids in clothes you don't mind them getting wet, muddy, or painted on. The cost is $20 per family. For reference, access to Hart Square Village is normally $30 per person for non-members, so the tour offers significant value for families wanting to visit without committing to a Hart Square membership or enrollment at Earthsong Explorers. Please purchase your ticket at least 24 hours in advance so we can plan for your arrival. If you would like to join us last-minute, please email Jamie at jamie@EarthsongExplorers.org to see if we can accommodate. *PLEASE NOTE: Consistent with the ethos of forest school, we meet rain or shine! Please wear rain gear if showers are in the forecast (such as rain boots and rain coat). We can't wait to meet you and show you where the magic happens!-Jamie & Sarah, Founders

Earthsong Explorers Trial Day

No Junk, Vintage Halloween at the Village is a slow, simple celebration where children do Halloween-themed crafts and games and trick-or-treat at the log cabin village. Costumes are welcome. Guided by Earthsong Explorers’ mission, we keep this gathering free of food dyes, sugar overload, and overstimulation. Instead, children move through old-timey games and crafts that honor imagination, connection, and the old-time spirit of Halloween. Entrance is free for Earthsong students. For parents, siblings, and other guests, we are accepting tax-deductible donations to cover costs. Siblings can fully participate in the festivities and parents/grandparents can share some fresh pressed apple cider and homemade sourdough donuts. Even if you are unable to make a donation, please register your family so we know how many guests to expect. We are also looking for volunteers to help at the craft stations. Please reach out if you are willing to help. If your child attends forest school on Fridays and no family member is able to attend the event, don't fret. Our Guides will look after them as part of the regular school day. But we hope our forest school families can join in on the fun!
