Obon Mini Sponsorships support Ekoji Buddhist Temple’s annual Obon gathering, a time to remember loved ones and express gratitude through dance, light, and reflection. 🏮Mini Sponsor support provides key assets for our festival:$25 will help us buy prizes and materials for our game booths$50 will help pay for the trailer rental, generator, and signage$100 will help buy rice, beverages, ice, packaging and other foodstuffs $150 will help fund the police coverage, crossing guards, increased utility bills, marketing and more!Obon is our largest fundraiser of the year and the profits directly sustain our Jodo Shinshu traditions and ability to create a welcoming space for all who attend our services and educational events. Honor your loved ones during Obon 2026 by dedicating a candle in memory of your loved one. Each candle will be lit and placed in our meditation garden for our Obon candlelight service, where we close out the evening with a short service to remember those who have passed with gratitude and mindfulness. You are welcome to take your candles with you if you join us in person. We can not ship the candles. Event will be held rain or shine on Sat, July 11, 2026. Share your offerings at Ekoji’s Obon Festival on July 11 by completing this vendor registration form. Please provide accurate details about your booth, space needs, and any equipment or permits. Ekoji charges Obon vendors 15% of sales, plus a flat registration fee of $25 if you bring your own tent, table, and chairs, or $40 if Ekoji provides 1 10' x 10' tent, 1 6' x 30" table, and 2 chairs. Vendors are able to begin set-up from 1:00pm and must conclude set-up by 4:00pm. Note that we do not have electricity available in the booth areas.
