Thank you for attending EMAC&#39;s BBQ stick competition! We hope you enjoy our fun and flavorful community event. All sales of drinks, desserts, and papaya salad will go to EMAC&rsquo;s legal defense fund which supports Southeast Asian immigrants and refugees impacted by deportation.

June 27th, 2026 in Stockton, CA - EMAC is hosting a BBQ stick competition as a fundraiser for our organization&rsquo;s critical work in advocating for immigrant rights and building power for a safer, thriving Southeast Asian community in Stockton. This will be the first competition of its kind in the 209 area! Join us for a family-friendly, flavorful community event where you can sample competing entries and help us decide which BBQ stick reigns supreme. In addition to the food, there will be music and fun activities! Get tickets now to support our organization while celebrating the cultural assets of our vibrant and diverse city.

ICE continues to threaten and separate families in our community. Can you donate as little as $10 to support our work to stop deportations? Last Saturday, we were able to raise $3,559.92 from ticket sales, food and drink sales, and donations at our inaugural BBQ cook-off and fundraiser event! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us while enjoying good food for a good cause.&nbsp; Earlier on, we made the decision to lower our entry fees to make sure the event was accessible to working families and individuals in Stockton. While we stand by that decision, we are now $1,441 away from our original goal.&nbsp; Can we count on you to chip in $10 or more to help us reach $5,000?&nbsp; Every dollar gifted will go towards our critical anti-deportation work that provides relief, safety, and wraparound support to Southeast Asian immigrant and refugee families in the northern Central Valley region.&nbsp; ICE and the unjust immigration system continue to strike fear in our communities and tear apart loving families.
