It is a landscape that is breathtakingly beautiful, but unforgivingly remote.Deep in these canyons live the "Tarahumara people". They are legendary runners, known worldwide for their endurance. But right now, they are running a race against something they cannot outpace alone.Malnutrition. Preventable disease. High maternal mortality.In these isolated mountains, a simple tooth infection or a clouded eye doesn't just mean pain. It means you can't work. It means you can't farm. It means your family doesn't eat.Mexico Medical Missions built a beacon of hope in the village of Samachique, a free hospitalThis facility is an oasis where dedicated surgeons, and nurses drop everything to serve strangers. They are performing miracles daily, like cleft palate repairs, cataract surgeries, and life-saving emergency care. Often, their patients have walked for days just to reach the door.But here's the problem, Mexico Medical Missions is running this expensive labor of love and nobody knows their full story.At Filming for Charity we believe that if the world could see this hospital, these people, and the love being spread... the world will BE moved, to BE generous.We are SO touched by the loving people who sacrifice their lives for this free hospital, that we just HAVE to produce a high-quality, cinematic documentary that captures their story. This film will be a gorgeous way for them to raise funds, recruit new doctors, and keep their hospital doors open for years to come.Getting our crew and heavy gear safely into the Sierra Madre mountains and get us back home, requires a HUGE investment. Once we do return home, the long process of post-production begins.
