LXCL:Footlights Youth Theatre creates inclusive performing arts experiences that spark creativity, build confidence, and inspire growth across Erie. Through programs and partnerships, we help people find their voice and shine on stage and beyond.

Starring students from across Erie County, Puffs follows Wayne Hopkins, a nerdy boy from New Mexico, and his friends Megan Jones and Oliver Rivers as they try to survive a dangerous school of magic without being heroes or main characters. PUFFS, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic

At a certain school of magic, not every student is destined to save the world, but every story deserves to be told. This spring, Footlights Youth Theatre is proud to present PUFFS (or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic), a hilarious and heartwarming story celebrating the underdogs of a certain magical school. Our student performers have been working hard to bring this magical comedy to life, and performances will take place May 28&ndash;31 at Harding School. Our shows typically welcome families, friends, and community members from across the area, making our program and social media recognition a great way for local businesses to connect with the community.

Step into the story with Footlights Youth Theatre&rsquo;s production of Into the Woods&nbsp; James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone&#39;s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King&#39;s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch&#39;s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone&#39;s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Your registration helps us create inclusive performing arts experiences for local kids&mdash;supporting scholarships, costumes, scripts, safe rehearsal spaces, and the teaching artists who guide students to find their voice and shine on stage.
