Faha Registration
Rules and Expectations FaHa is a 501c(3) charity and member-organized group. All funds (raised through donations and dues) go towards furthering the mission of the group. FaHa organizes through the Discord App; you will be asked to join Discord in order to continue. Secular Homeschool: We are a secular, member-driven group. Please CLEARLY NOTE if you are suggesting religious material or events. Do not proselytize in any capacity. Do not require religious engagement in any capacity, at any event, or online (e.g. praying before meals, etc.). Create Safe Environments: Language is an imperfect tool, social connections can be challenging. Engage each other with a principle of charity, by taking the best reasonable interpretation from conversations. Always remember that we are essentially here for the same purpose, to help our children grow and learn in the world. If a conflict arises, reach out for guidance on options to mediate. "We're all just walking each other home" - Ram DassMake Personal Connections: Once you arrive in Discord, please request an admin to change your nickname to reflect your real name. Handles are awesome but we don't want to lose sight of what we are: a group of real people trying to organize community. Be Inclusive: One of the many benefits of homeschooling is the opportunity to view multiple and wide ranging perspectives. However, there is no place in this group for intolerance. "In order to maintain a tolerant society, the society must retain the right to be intolerant of intolerance." - Karl Popper Respect Privacy: What's shared in the group should stay in the group. We also meet in person and bring our most vulnerable selves to social situations. Do not share pictures, stories, or events publicly without the expressed permission of the caregivers. Release: You acknowledge that some events carry inherent dangers. FaHa is an organizational tool and can not be held responsible for anything that happens in connection with events planned by group members. By participating, you understand and agree that you have chosen to assume these risks.
