Mount Prospect Park is in danger of irreversible damage from a plan to build a large concrete skate facility that would pave much of the central oval. The construction would destroy a significant part of this beloved neighborhood park. Ringed by decades-old majestic shade trees, the flexible green space in the oval "heart of the park" is enjoyed by neighbors and visitors of all ages. Friends of Mount Prospect Park wants to protect the green space and multi-use nature of the park.
