Friends Of Raystown Lake

Friends of Raystown Lake is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of Raystown Lake through community engagement, advocacy, and education, ensuring a sustainable environment for future generations.

Friends of Raystown Lake and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) are calling on volunteers to participate in our annual shoreline cleanup at Raystown Lake scheduled for Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 from 8AM-1PM at the Tatman Run Recreation Area. Event is held rain or shine (unless we have a flood again, in which case we will cancel). A huge THANK YOU to Parks Garbage Service for donating the dumpster and disposal fee for this year&#39;s cleanup! Each year, volunteers remove around 2,000 pounds of trash from the shoreline to enhance the health and beauty of our important water resource. Volunteers will be provided gloves, bags and will be treated to breakfast and lunch! Please wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, sunscreen and be prepared to work outside and get dirty. We are especially in need of volunteer boats and operators to transport volunteers and bags of trash that will be collected. Note: kayaks and canoes are NOT recommended for this event.&nbsp;
