Friends of the Grosse Pointe Public Library supports and enhances library services through fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement, fostering a love for reading and lifelong learning in the Grosse Pointe area.

Join us for the Silent Book Club Metro Detroit River Reading Cruise&mdash;bringing readers together for a relaxing, book-filled afternoon on the Detroit River. &nbsp;There will be giveaways and plenty of bookish fun. Brought to you by local SBC chapters and the Friends of the GPPL. What to Bring:Physical books, Kindles or e-readers, and audiobooks are all welcome. Noise-cancellingheadphones are recommended for audiobook listeners and those that like it extra quiet. We recommend downloading any media you need as there is no wi-fi onboard the ship. Sensible shoes, weather appropriate clothing. Remember, it&rsquo;s colder on the water than on land. Money for cash bar and snacks. No children under the age of 14 years old.&nbsp; 14 - 18 year olds much be accompanied by an adult. NO personal food or drinks of any kind are permitted on board. Cruise Schedule:Allow plenty of time for parking.
