Help raise funds to increase the Head Coach/Rowing Director salary.&nbsp; We are trying to raise funds to increase the salary paid to the Gainesville Area Rowing Head Coach. The salary has remained flat for 3 years with no cost of living increase. To be competitive with other rowing clubs our size, we need to be paying around $55-60,000, which is $20 - $23k more than we currently pay. &nbsp;The donations will be kept in a fund that can be used as needed to retain or recruit a head coach who is meeting the metrics of the position description and club. &nbsp; We have 3 families that have joined together to match donations up to $10,000 for the coach salary pool with the ability to adapt it to immediate needs, if required. &nbsp;If the club can raise $13,000, combined with the matching funds, that means $23,000 will be in the salary fund. &nbsp;The use of these funds will require approval of the GAR Board, by simple majority, to allocate according to this guidance. &nbsp; If extreme financial circumstances exist, the GAR Board may reallocate the funds to cover the cost of operation. &nbsp;For this to occur, the vote must be unanimous. To maintain a high-quality coaching staff, the GAR Board has advised that we provide a salary increase. Moving forward, the goal is to have the salary fully covered by the operational income. &nbsp;

Your support directly helps these athletes represent Gainesville with pride, determination, and teamwork.
