The Galveston Chapter of the Texas Restaurant Association champions the culinary and hospitality industries by promoting workforce development, providing scholarships, and supporting local restaurants to enhance Galveston's tourism and economy.

Galveston&rsquo;s Epicurean Evening: A Taste of the Gulf is Galveston&rsquo;s premier culinary showcase where local restaurants, hotels, and hospitality partners bring their best flavors together for a night of tasting, live music, silent auction fun, and community celebration. Attendees enjoy sample-size bites and beverages from some of Galveston&rsquo;s top establishments and get to vote on fan favorites. &nbsp;￼ Proceeds from the event benefit workforce development in the hospitality and culinary industries, including:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Scholarship opportunities through the Paco Vargas Scholarship Fund for high school and college students pursuing culinary and hospitality careers</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Support for the culinary &amp; hospitality program at Ball High School</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Helping highlight the important role restaurants play in Galveston&rsquo;s tourism economy and workforce pipeline. &nbsp;￼</li></ul>It&rsquo;s a great way to enjoy a taste of the Gulf while giving back to the community and supporting the next generation of restaurant professionals.

Galveston’s Epicurean Evening: A Taste of the Gulf

We&rsquo;re excited to invite you to participate in the Epicurean Evening Awards at this year&rsquo;s event on April 16 in Galveston! Vendors have two easy ways to be included in the awards competition: &bull; Donate a silent auction item valued at $100, OR&bull; Pay the $100 awards entry fee Either option allows you to compete in the awards portion of the evening, where attendees will sample dishes and vote live for their favorites in a true People&rsquo;s Choice-style experience. This friendly competition is always a highlight of the event and provides great exposure for your business. It&rsquo;s a fun opportunity to showcase your creativity, engage with guests, and earn recognition among both the community and fellow industry professionals. If you&rsquo;d like to participate in the awards, just let us know which option works best for you, and we&rsquo;ll take care of the rest!
