Gathering Ground’s Summer CSA 2026 brings fresh, seasonal produce straight from the farm to your kitchen 🥕. Each share supports our mission of promoting and supporting sustainable agriculture and connecting people of all ages to healthy food, the land, and healthy food. By joining the CSA, you’re stocking your pantry and helping keep our community cooking together 🍲. Each CSA members will get 10 shares over a 14 week period starting the third week of June and ending in Sept. We know people travel in the summer or leave the Island in the fall, so we've built in 4 "pass" weeks. You can select which weeks you will skip. Just let us know at least a week ahead of time.CSA shares will be picked up at Aznoe Farm stand. The cost is $30/per share = $300 for a full season of veggies! Each will have a value of $35-$40 of produce. Since this is our first year doing a CSA, we will look forward to hearing from you as you help us set up this new process.

We have 3-year old Chinese and hybrid chestnut trees available. All seedlings descend from prolific mother trees with excellent size and eating qualities.Seedlings trees will be delivered with label. Bundles of trees will include a mix of parentage unless otherwise specified. Mother trees include: 'Resilient': seed from Red Fern Farm'Blondie': seed from Red Fern Farm'Luvall's Monster': seed from HARCC65-11: early ripening tree, seed from Empire ChestnutSmaller quantities of Mossbarger, Hong Kong, Sandy (another Empire selection for up north growers). We also have chestnut seed available from a Chinese chestnut tree (called 65-11) planted by Jay Miller in Ohio in 1965. Mother tree has been a reliable, outstanding producer since it began fruiting. Nuts are medium sized but tasty and consistently healthy. Nuts are sweet and appear to dry quickly, good for flour. Tree has short stature and typical orchard-type growth. For the last decade or so it has been surrounded by grafted cultivars (good pollen cloud). Mother tree ripens early compared with other Chinese chestnuts, making it more suitable for northern growers in the midwest and northeast.

Start Your Garden 🌱 with Gathering Ground's starter plants potted up in 3 inch peat pots. The pots can be put directly in the ground and the roots grow right through them. All plants are grown in 100% organic potting mix from organic seed. Make your summer delicious! Each starter plant is $4 unless otherwise marked. We've set them to "free" so that you have the choice to make your order and pay by cash or check on pick up. Checks can be made out to Gathering Ground.
