Georgetown South Community Council Foundation Inc

Georgetown South Community Council Foundation Inc fosters community growth through educational, motivational, and recreational programs. Their mission is to enhance quality of life by supporting local initiatives, including a new soccer field for youth engagement.

860 homes. Year-round needs. One community you can support every month. ❤️ The GTSCCF 860 Club takes its name from the 860 homes in Georgetown South. Our community represents 12% of the City of Manassas’ population, and 95% of our residents are low-income, Spanish-speaking Latino immigrants. Georgetown South is home to more than 1,100 school-age children, 300 little ones, and approximately 90–100 residents aging in place. Our neighbors have needs every day, every month of the year. That’s why we at the Georgetown South Community Council Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, are asking you to make a recurring donation. Your ongoing support helps sustain the education, recreation and practical assistance our community relies on:

Monthly food assistance: Food provided each month to more than 400 families.

After-school programs: Programs for children during the school year.

Summer camps: Camps for kids when school is out for the summer.

City soccer league: Assistance with the league across three seasons.

English Language Learner classes: English-language learning opportunities for adults.

Adult workshops: Meaningful support for adults’ needs, from adjusting to life in the United States to planning for a future on a fixed income and the challenges that brings.

Scholarships: Two scholarships of $1,500 each for attendance at a two-year college, four-year college or trade school.

School supplies and Christmas support: Seasonal help for parents providing school supplies, Christmas gifts and clothes.

Senior gift baskets: Baskets to thank our seniors for sticking with our community.

We also want to begin helping our neighbors on fixed incomes manage rising utility bills and home repair costs. With recurring support, you can help us sustain our current work and work toward offering this additional assistance. Join the 860 Club with a recurring donation. Help us show up for Georgetown South’s children, adults and seniors—not just seasonally, but throughout the year.
