Georgia Baptist Conference of the Deaf

Since 1958, the Georgia Baptist Conference of the Deaf has supported churches to build strong deaf ministries where deaf members are involved in worship, teaching, training, and Christian fellowship. We support interpreters in those ministries, too.

At the Georgia Baptist Conference of the Deaf, we believe in empowering and equipping individuals to share the gospel with the Deaf communities around the globe. We support short-term mission ventures using scholarship programs. TriState Deaf School for Theology brings Deaf believers together to study God&rsquo;s Word in a visual, accessible way 📚✋. Learn alongside others who share your language, culture, and desire to grow in Christ. By registering, you help us plan clear ASL teaching, small group discussion, and time for prayer and fellowship. Tri-State Deaf School of Theology

Deaf Day in Rome &ndash; October 17 is a day for Deaf and hearing believers, families, and friends to gather for worship, learning, and fellowship in ASL.&nbsp; Stephen Newell,&nbsp;a deaf pastor from Tennessee, will be our guest speaker.&nbsp;Hayden Daum will lead worship music and teach a workshop about interpreting music in ASL.&nbsp; Other exciting program plans:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Workshops for those new to church and Bible study, as well as folks more seasoned in Christian life and Bible study. &nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">ASL101 taught by Debbie Ziegler</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Dawn Cagasan will lead activities for kids birth-11.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Emily Burris will lead activities for youth ages 12-17.</li></ul>Children ages 11 and under are FREE, but they must be registered so we can be ready for them. Doors open at 8:00 am, and we will offer morning refreshments. The program starts at 9:00 am. Lunch is included. We will have a taco bar for lunch with a choice of beef, chicken, or fajita vegetables.&nbsp; Vendors/exhibitors are welcome, especially related to deaf ministry and deaf services. Register below to help us plan for meals and age-level activities. Your participation supports our mission to provide a welcoming place for Deaf Christians to grow, connect, and share the Gospel. ⛪
