Grande Ronde Gravity promotes BMX riding by providing a library of bikes for all, fostering community and encouraging youth to discover the joy of cycling. Our mission is to enhance access to BMX and support skill development in a safe environment.

Support Dirt Jumps in La Grande&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Jumping is one of the most fun things you can do on a bmx or mountain bike, but, like any technical skill, to do it well and safely takes regular practice on well built jumps.The recently opened Pioneer Park Pump Track gives beginner riders the chance to try jumping their bike. We want to build on that success, giving riders who get comfortable on the pump track somewhere to continue developing their skills and having fun. Why La Grande needs a jump park&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;La Grande currently has the only asphalt pump track in eastern Oregon. Even better is that it&rsquo;s co-located with the skate park. The draw of the pump track is already apparent, as riders coming through town stop to burn some energy riding the track.A dirt jump park would elevate La Grande&rsquo;s profile exponentially, drawing in riders from Idaho, western Oregon, and Washington. Mountain bikers looking to build skills before using MERA or Anthony Lakes will stop specifically to practice on a dirt jump line. And locals who are developing skills to use on either a mountain bike or a bmx bike will find the different levels of dirt jumps to be integral to improvement.

Your support helps cover our costs to run the BMX Library, host jump clinics with our air bag, and put on the jams we organize at the skate park.&nbsp; Our main annual expense is liability insurance, which costs us $750 per year. We&#39;d like to setup a stipend to hire local teens to run the library, which would be $300/month.&nbsp;

The majority of that will come from grants, but we&#39;re hoping to raise 10% from our community.
