3rd Annual 2026 Downriver GS Derby

We have planned a hands-on workshop scheduled for March 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, to be held at the church.&nbsp; During this workshop, the girls will participate in engaging activities focused on valuable life skills, including basic health education, skincare, hair care, and related topics. One of the hands-on lessons will involve learning how to braid hair. To ensure the best experience, girls should arrive with clean, washed hair.&nbsp; A $10 deposit is required to secure participation in the event and will be returned in cash when your scout attends.&nbsp; Please feel free to reach out to any of the leader&rsquo;s with any questions.

Troop 77921 Open Hair and Skin Care Class

Frankemuth Weekend We will be spending the weekend in Frankenmuth, MI. Our scouts will be blacksmithing and all attendees will be pretzel-making and visiting Bronner&#39;s Christmas Store. Additionally, we will have downtime for our girls to explore the city and participate in additional unstructured activities. There are no tagalongs allowed. We ask that all attending scouts arrive by no later than 10AM Saturday since we have scheduled activities. We will have a carpool signup posted the week of Dec 18th.&nbsp; We will be providing Saturday and Sunday breakfast, Saturday lunch and Saturday dinner for all who attend. &nbsp; We are asking for a $20 per scout deposit that is refunded when they attend and $25 per adult that is non-refundable.&nbsp; We are allowing one adult per scout and, per GSUSA regulations, we are requiring that any adult attending overnight register as a troop volunteer. The registration cost is $45. This will cover you for Oct 2025- Oct 2026. If an adult needs financial assistance, please reach out to Ashley and we can discuss options. You will be required to show by the Dec 18th that you have completed your registration. Adults will not be allowed to stay overnight without it. &nbsp; If you would like your scout to attend solo, we absolutely can accommodate that option, please let Ashley know. Also, if you would like to carpool, a carpool sign-up will be posted the week of Dec 18th.&nbsp;

Frankemuth Weekend

We have been invited to attend the VFW Christmas party for 2025!&nbsp;When: Sunday December 8th, 1pm-4pm. Doors open at 12:30pmWhere: 16200 Dix-Toledo Rd, Southgate, MI (VFW Post)The party is open to any of our scouts, their siblings and adults. Presents will be given to our scouts and any sibilings 10 years old and under. Lunch will be provided (pizza, dessert, and juice pouch). Both scouts and siblings will be receiving a present from the VFW and will have an opportunity to see Santa. Santa will arrive at 1:30PM/1:45PM.Please note this is a free event however you must list what adults and children are attending in advance. Addons after November 29th will not be accepted.&nbsp;

2025 VFW Southgate Christmas Party

Join us for a 1 mile hike through the Glenlore Trails Electric Forest. This is also a Trick or Treating event, so costumes are encouraged.&nbsp;We are able to enter at 7:15PM, please be at the entrance no later than by 7:10PM. Trails are not paved but seem to be able to accommodate wagons, strollers, and wheelchairs as long as it&#39;s not muddy.&nbsp; Please make sure to wear shoes that can get muddy or wet just incase.&nbsp; Also, please remember to bring a waterbottle and a way to carry it (backpack, purse, etc) Scouts are charged $10 but will have the funds returned at the event when they attend. Everyone else is non refundable payments.&nbsp;

Glenlore Trails Trick or Treat Event

This is the Deposit for the Adults attending our Chicago overnighter.  We will be leaving Dearborn Train Station via Amtrak on 7/22 at 6:44AM, staying 2 nights in Chicago, then coming home on 7/24 by 8:30PM. Total price for trip is $300 and your $50 goes towards that. Adult fees cover all costs for train tickets, lodging, attraction tickets, and city transportation. 7/22-7/24 Adult Chicago Deposit

It is free for Scouts to attend and the $50 deposit will be returned to the scouts on the trip in the form of spending money on a visa gift card. Scout fees cover all costs for train tickets, lodging, attraction tickets, and city transportation. Adult Chicago Final Payment

Address: 13020 Eureka Rd, Southgate This will be a field trip during our normal meeting time, 6PM. Please arrive ontime so that there will be enough time to make the pizza. Parents will be responsible for driving their scout to the field trip and either staying with them or picking them up approximately at 7pm.  The troop will be coving the full price of the scout and this includes:-1 small pizza with toppings-1 soft drink We will have limited pizza making tagalong slots available, the price will be $10/tagalong-making pizza.

2-27-25 Pizza Making Field Trip

We have been invited to attend the VFW Christmas party for 2024! When: Sunday December 8th, 12pm-3pm. Doors open at 11:30amWhere: 16200 Dix-Toledo Rd, Southgate, MI (VFW Post)The party is open to any of our scouts and any of their siblings age 10 and under. VFW Southgate Christmas Party Troop 77921

We will be going to the Michigan Science Center on November 16th at 10AM to 2PM APPROX. We do require RSVPs and troop will be requesting a $10 deposit per Scout that will be refunded when they attend the event. Any adults and taglongs over 2 will be allowed but will be charged the full price of $17/person.  RSVPs and Deposits are due by Saturday 11-9

2024 Michigan Science Center Field Trip

We will be camping at Camp O' the Hills at 2100 Pink St, Brooklyn, MI 49230.  Friday Night you may show up any time after 6pm. We must be checked out by 10am Sunday Morning. The girls will also be doing a CSI activity on Saturday form 10-3pm. You Will be responsible for your meal on Friday night.

2024 Fall Camp

Troop 77921, will be covering 1 adult per 1 scout. This is for any additional people you would like to add under a group rate.

June 28th 2024 GS Aquatic Center

This is for national and council membership for October 1, 2025- September 30, 2026. The cost of that membership is $45. If your child sold more that 600 boxes during cookie season, you do NOT need to pay anything additional.

26-27 Troop 77921's Memberships

Celebrate our Rev&#39;d Up Girl Scout Birthday with Troop 77921 🎉 We will be attending a local event instead of our normal Thursday, March 12th, meeting. The troop will pay for the scouts to attend with a Luxury wristband (lets them do all the activities offered except Valo). And if your scout attends with their vest or sash on, they will receive the Valo experience for free.&nbsp; Since admission must be pre-purchased for the discount rate, we are requiring that you pre-register online through our form. No exceptions can be made, and if you do not register, we will not be able to have a ticket for your scout. Rev'd Up Girl Scout Birthday

Leader &amp; Me weekend is a relaxing and hands-off event where leaders and their scouts can reconnect. As part of your ticket, we will include lodging in the Frankenmuth Scout Building (Located right in the heart of downtown Frankenmuth), Saturday Lunch, Saturday Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast. While some minor activities may be provided, primarily it is a time for you to explore and do activities with your own scout(s).&nbsp; Please note, in order to attend the adult must be a registered leader (this will be verified by our service unit.) and all minor attendees must be registered with Girl Scouts. Also, due to the layout of the building and the sleeping arrangements, we will not be able to accommodate male leaders.&nbsp; We do offer a custom fun-patch for purchase. They are $4 each or 3 for $10.

Race day is back! Join us for the 3rd Annual Downriver GS Derby 🚗 as Girl Scouts test their creativity, problem-solving, and courage on the track. What is a GS Derby? These are open times when we will assist with cutting, building, and decorating your car before the race so that even beginners can make a great car! Please note: The build clinics involve stairs to access and are not handicap accessible.&nbsp; Build Clinic Days are March 31st 6PM-8PM and April 3rd 11AM-2PM at 1925 Ford Ave, Wyandotte Check-in for Cars will be on April 17th, 1:30PM-2PM. Any Cars that do not pass inspection will still be eligible to race in the Outlaw Category. You are welcome to attend build clinics to verify your car&#39;s weight, clearance, etc..&nbsp; Build Rules Car Dimensions-The overall length of the car shall not exceed 7 inches-The overall width of the car shall not exceed 2-3/4 inches-The car must have 1-3/4 inch clearance between the wheels and 3/8 inch clearance underneath the body so it does not rub on the track.&nbsp; Car Weight&nbsp;- The car in total shall not exceed 5.0 ounces.-The official race scale that is used at car check-in shall be considered final. Car Modifications not allowed-Wheels may not be cut, drilled, beveled or rounded. You may remove seams and imperfections form the wheels.&nbsp;-The axles MAY be altered, polished, and lubricated. No oil lubrication allowed, only dry graphic lubrication.&nbsp;-Wheel bearings, washers, and bushings are prohibited.&nbsp;-The car shall not ride on any kind of spring.-The car must be free-wheeling, with no starting devices.&nbsp;-No loose materials of any kind are allowed in or on the car.&nbsp; Other Race Rules-Once a car passes inspection and is entered into the race, only the race committee members can touch it.&nbsp;-If the car loses a wheel, or is otherwise damaged, the racer shall have 5 minutes to make repairs.&nbsp;-Each car must pass inspection by the official race committee before it will be allowed to compete.&nbsp;-The race committee has the responsibility to disqualify those cars that do not meet these rules.&nbsp; Refund PolicyRefunds will not be available for this event.&nbsp;
