The Hammett L. Bowen Jr. Elementary PTO is made up of parents, grandparents, teachers, and community members working together to support our students, strengthen our school community, and help make HBE an incredible place to learn.Our mission is simple: support student achievement and enhance every child's school experience. We do that by partnering with and supporting teachers, organizing fun family events, recognizing and celebrating students and staff, funding resources that directly benefit our classrooms, and so much more!What Does the PTO Do?Support teachers, staff, and students by providing resources, volunteers, and encouragementPlan fun, meaningful events and activitiesRaise funds for programs, equipment, classroom resources, and other school extrasBuild school spiritStrengthen connections between families and staffSupport school-wide initiatives that enhance learning, engagement, and student successMembership is just $10 per family each school year. Membership dues help cover the startup costs for PTO events and allow us to begin investing in our students and teachers from the very beginning of the school year.Being a PTO member doesn't mean committing to monthly meetings or countless volunteer hours. We know families are busy! Throughout the year, we'll email quick and easy opportunities to help out, and even a few small contributions can have a big impact on our students, teachers, and school!PTO MeetingsPTO meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the HBE Media Center (immediately following the SAC Meeting).
