Hawaii Literacy

Hawaii Literacy empowers communities by providing free literacy programs, including adult education and family literacy initiatives, to enhance reading and writing skills for over 5,000 individuals annually across the Hawaiian Islands.

Please join us at our 16th annual Pau Hana for Literacy in partnership with Murphy's Bar & Grill. This year’s event is more than a celebration—it’s a critical call to action. Due to substantial federal funding cuts, Hawai‘i Literacy is at risk of scaling back vital services at a time when community needs continue to grow. We need your support now more than ever to keep our free, life-changing programs running strong. Your support helps to build literacy skills for over 5,000 people each year in high-need communities across Oahu, Kauai, Molokai and Kona. Hawaii Literacy's Bookmobiles, Family Literacy Libraries, English Language Learner (ELL), Adult Literacy, and Digital Literacy programs help our keiki succeed in school and struggling adults improve their reading and writing skills to reach lifelong goals. Each ticket includes two drinks, a dinner plate, and desserts, while also supporting our five free literacy programs that operate year-round in Hawaii. Sponsorship Information: Reserved tables, complimentary parking, program ads, web and social media promotion, and other great benefits are available for our valued sponsors.
