At All Around Kids Community Preschool, we believe that when young children are supported with care, curiosity, and respect, they develop the confidence and skills that help them thrive throughout their lives. Our preschool program through Healthy U serves children ages 3&ndash;5 in the Illinois Valley in a play-based learning environment that nurtures the whole child &mdash; mind, body, and heart. In our classrooms, teachers guide learning through hands-on experiences that strengthen critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Just as importantly, we support children in developing emotional awareness, empathy, and the ability to navigate challenges with confidence. By helping children build these foundational life skills early on, we are not only preparing them for kindergarten &mdash; we are helping cultivate resilient, thoughtful members of our community for generations to come. Families in the Illinois Valley deeply value this type of early learning environment. However, programs like ours are difficult to sustain through tuition alone, especially in rural, impoverished and under resourced areas like ours. &nbsp;We rely on a combination of family payments, grants, and community support to keep the program accessible while maintaining the quality of care children deserve. Community support this year will help us bridge a funding gap and ensure the program remains accessible to families who rely on it.
