Roscoe needs emergency surgery to survive 🐾&nbsp; Roscoe was found 10 years ago in a ditch, hairless, covered in mange, and clearly carrying the weight of a hard past. He was a shy, fearful dog with a LOT of energy and love to give.&nbsp; After his first foster mom passed away from a stroke, he found himself bouncing around from foster to foster; people were giving up on him because he needed more: structure, patience, and training. Finally, after going through 3 more foster families, he ended up being deemed a &quot;forever foster&quot; with his FIFTH foster family - Susan and Thomas.&nbsp; A forever foster means that he will always remain under the care of Hickman Humane Society, and we will do everything to make sure he is well taken care of, while Susan and Thomas provide a home, structure, love, and care. He&#39;s become a part of their pack - goes on hikes daily with the other 4 dogs, and is the sweetest, most well-behaved dog of the pack.&nbsp; Now Roscoe needs emergency help. After more than 24 hours of acute vomiting, Roscoe was referred to VEG in Franklin. Diagnostics revealed a foreign body in his intestines. He needs emergency surgery now and his total cost estimate is now around $8,000. Roscoe survived being discarded, sick, scared, and being bounced from home to home. Please help us give him the chance to come home to the people, dogs, hikes, and life he loves.
