4 Months. 4 Major Cruelty & Neglect Cases. Approximately 100 Animals. And those are just the animals from four properties.Over the past four months, Hickman Humane Society has been involved in four major animal cruelty, neglect, and hoarding cases affecting approximately 100 animals. These cases represent some of the most heartbreaking conditions our volunteers and rescuers have encountered.Dogs and other animals have been found severely emaciated, injured, sick, infested with parasites, and desperately needing medical attention. Many have endured prolonged neglect, and some face long roads to recovery. And these numbers don't even begin to account for the countless other animals in need or the calls for help we receive every day.Getting an animal out of a dangerous situation is only the beginning of their journey.Once they're safe, the real work of healing begins.Every animal deserves proper veterinary care, nutritious food, vaccinations, testing, parasite prevention, and spaying or neutering. Some need emergency medical procedures, specialized treatments, extended rehabilitation, or boarding while awaiting placement in a loving foster or forever home. These expenses add up quickly, particularly when we're responding to multiple large-scale rescue situations in such a short period of time.We cannot continue answering these calls without your help.Hickman Humane Society is an all-foster-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by the generosity of our community. We don't have a traditional shelter facility or an unlimited budget, but we do have dedicated volunteers and an unwavering commitment to helping animals who have nowhere else to turn.Your donation to our Help Us Save More Lives Fund will support the veterinary care, medications, food, essential supplies, boarding, rehabilitation, and other rescue-related expenses needed to give vulnerable animals a chance at a healthier, happier life.Whether you can give $5, $10, $25, $100, or more, your generosity helps us continue responding when animals need us most.Because every animal deserves a chance. And every life is worth saving.🐾 Please donate today and help Hickman Humane Society continue making second chances possible.Together, we can save more lives. ❤️
