High Stepping Nationals promotes the cultural legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities through music and marching band events, fostering community pride and educational opportunities while celebrating the artistry and excellence of HBCU bands.

SHED is open to artists, musicians, music lovers, and anyone who wants to experience musicianship happening in real time. Musicians and vocalists can sign up in advance, with limited opportunities for day-of participation based on engagement and availability. This event supports the shared mission of The Just Play Foundation and High Stepping Nationals by investing in youth music programs and creating spaces for artist showcase and opportunity. Giving young performers a stage to practice discipline, confidence, and creativity, this platform welcomes everyone&mdash;whether you&rsquo;re a first-time performer or a seasoned player, your voice and rhythm belong here.
