Spitballs flying across the room, paper airplanes sailing every which way and uncontrollable children send gentle, long-suffering Miss Nelson over the edge. But the students of Room 207 are in for a surprise when Miss Nelson goes missing and is replaced by Viola Swamp, a no-nonsense substitute who assigns piles of homework! Behind the scenes tour from a Gulf Coast News reporter and anchor for ages 10+. Space for this field trip is very limited, so students may be dropped off with the chaperones and picked up at the end. Please include any adults who will STAY with the student for the field trip in your registration. We also request that younger siblings are not included in this trip (babies that can be worn may attend).

This trip includes general admission for all group members, time to see the zoo at your own pace, and a 30 minute presentation by one of our zookeeper where participants will get to meet 3 different reptiles, see them up close and have an opportunity to touch them. The zookeeper will give information about the animals and answer questions. &nbsp;You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or snack with you to enjoy after your presentation. Iguanaland has a large, covered picnic area which you are able to use. We do not have a restaurant on site, though we do have some pre-packaged snacks and bottled beverages for sale in the gift shop.

In the last week of Quarter 3, March 10, we will be learning about blood types. &nbsp;Students will have an opportunity to try testing for their own blood type using individual kits, including a single-use safety lancet. &nbsp;If you consent to your child participating in this activity, please send a $5 payment. &nbsp;This covers approximately half of the cost of the kit and serves as consent for your student&#39;s participation. &nbsp;This must be received no later than February 20th. &nbsp;

Gather your homeschool student for a virtual game of storytelling, strategy, and imagination with Dungeons &amp; Dragons 🎲🐉. This one-time event is designed for students 12 and older who are NEW to HSR! Tuesday School. We will be offering a weekly D&amp;D game this year, so this is a chance to check it out with our Lead Dungeon Master, Bryce. &nbsp;Character sheets will be provided via email before the game starts. &nbsp;If you have a set of D&amp;D dice, please have them available; a virtual alternative will also be on hand. &nbsp; This game takes place over two evenings - August 19th and 20th. &nbsp;Players must commit to playing both evenings. &nbsp;
