Our mission is to honor and support those who served our nation by maintaining a place where veterans can gather, find support, and continue serving their community. The mission of American Legion Badger Boys State is to educate and inspire Wisconsin&#39;s future leaders through a practical, hands-on experience in self-government, fostering responsible citizenship, leadership, respect for the Constitution, and a commitment to community, state, and nation. The post proudly sponsored three students to attend Badger Boys State this year. An additional six students from Homestead High School have since expressed interest and been identified as eligible participants. At $400 per student, the total cost to sponsor these six young men is $2,400. Additional financial support would allow all interested students the opportunity to benefit from this valuable leadership and citizenship program. The Badger Boys State staff has contacted our Post to inquire whether we can assist in sponsoring these deserving young men. Badger Boys State provides an outstanding opportunity for students to learn about government, leadership, citizenship, and civic responsibility through a hands-on educational experience. Your gift to &ldquo;Badger Boys&rdquo; helps Post 457 sponsor local youth for Badger Boys State, where students learn civics, leadership, and the responsibilities that come with citizenship. By donating, you stand with veterans of Howard J Schroeder American Legion Post 457 in guiding the next generation to understand service, community, and country.
