Our programs, rooted in the principles of baseball, cultivate potential, teach responsibility, and foster community spirit.Join us today and help a child hit their dreams out of the park!History of 1955 Cannon Street All-Stars:The 1955 Cannon Street All-Stars were a Little League baseball team from Charleston, South Carolina. Composed entirely of African-American players, they faced significant racial barriers in the segregated South.After winning the local championship, they sought to compete in the state tournament. However, all the white teams in South Carolina boycotted the tournament to avoid playing against them. As a result, the Cannon Street All-Stars won the state title by default. Still, they were not allowed to play in the regional tournament due to Little League Baseball’s decision to exclude them, ostensibly for not playing a game in the state tournament.Their story highlights the racial discrimination prevalent at the time but also stands as a testament to their resilience and determination. In later years, the Cannon Street All-Stars received recognition and honors for challenging segregation in youth sports.In 2024, the 1955 Cannon Street All-Stars were inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
