Join Island Institute and The Ark&mdash;named one of The New York Times&rsquo; 50 Best Restaurants in the U.S. in 2025&mdash;for a memorable evening on Deer Isle celebrating Maine&rsquo;s farm-raised scallops and the people championing this sustainable aquaculture practice. &nbsp; The evening will feature a curated menu showcasing locally farmed scallops, alongside lively conversation with scallop farmers and Island Institute staff about sustainable aquaculture, Maine&rsquo;s working waterfronts, and Island Institute&rsquo;s work in the community. &nbsp; Special guests include Marsden Brewer, Bobby Brewer, and Christina Brewer of PenBay Farm Scallops, and Marnie Crowell, co-author with Marsden of Farmed Sea Scallop Cookbook: A Guide to Whole Sea Scallops Sustainably Harvested. &nbsp; Proceeds support Island Institute&rsquo;s work strengthening Maine&rsquo;s island and coastal communities.&nbsp;
