As they climb, stretch, and explore, students will build confidence, coordination, and perseverance in a fun and supportive environment.&nbsp; In honor of Black History Month, the Pearls will also learn about Tyrhee Moore, a professional rock climber who is making history by increasing representation and creating access to outdoor climbing spaces for the Black community. Through simple stories and visuals, students will discover how climbers like Tyrhee Moore show courage, determination, and the importance of trying new things.&nbsp; The Pearls will also be introduced to age-appropriate Black History Month rock-climbing facts, highlighting Black athletes and trailblazers who are expanding opportunities in outdoor sports. Tia Johnson was appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. on December 22, 2022. &nbsp;Prior to ascending to the bench, Judge Johnson was a Visiting Professor of Law and former Director, National Security Law LL.M. Program at Georgetown Law and a Visiting Fellow at Georgetown&rsquo;s Center on National Security and the Law. She was also a Distinguished Fellow at the Center for National Security Law at the University of Virginia School of Law. Immediately prior to her appointment at Georgetown, she served in the Obama Administration as the Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs, at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.&nbsp; Before that, Judge Johnson was the Senior Advisor to the Director, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). &nbsp;Judge Johnson retired from the U.S. Army Judge Advocate&rsquo;s Corps, where she specialized in international and national security law. In 2002, she became the first African American female to be selected to the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army&rsquo;s JAG Corps&rsquo; 227-year history. Pearls will gather for a fun story about everyday leadership and superpowers!&nbsp; After story time, they&rsquo;ll share what leadership means to them shining a light on their own special strengths. Then, Pearls will jump into a hands-on activity where they can explore their &ldquo;superpowers&rdquo; and discover how even small actions can make them kind leaders and everyday heroes. Ticket Information: Current ticket price: $81 per ticket (Reflects a 10% group discount based on current ticket reservations.)&nbsp;If 25+ tickets are sold, the individual ticket price will be reduced.
