The K Mark Takai Foundation honors Congressman Takai's legacy by promoting health and wellness through aquatics. We support cancer services in Hawaii and the renewal of the K. Mark Takai Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center, fostering community engagement.

Celebrating the Legacy of Congressman K. Mark TakaiIt has been 10 years since Congressman K. Mark Takai passed away from pancreatic cancer. On August 8, we will come together to celebrate his life, legacy, and commitment to serving others.Mark was an avid swimmer who believed that aquatics is for everyone and that swimming promotes health, wellness, and community. In his honor, this special event will feature three exciting events for participants of all ages and abilities. We will begin with Deep Water Aerobics for our Kupuna, followed by a Lap Swimming Challenge, and conclude with Fun Family &amp; Friends Relays that everyone can enjoy together. Funds raised through this event will support the renewal of the K. Mark Takai Veteran Memorial Aquatic Center and provide cancer support services in Hawaii and Swim Across America. Join us as we celebrate Mark&#39;s legacy, promote healthy living through aquatics, and make a lasting impact in our community.
