The Kentucky Interscholastic Cycling League promotes youth cycling through competitive mountain biking, fostering teamwork, and building confidence among student-athletes while encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle in a supportive community.

GRiT OUTSiDE Camp is a KY NICA mountain biking experience designed for girls, female coaches, and moms and/or guradians. 🚵&zwj;♀️. Guided by trained KY NICA camp staff, you&rsquo;ll practice mtb skills, build confidence on trails, attend workshops, and connect with other GRiT community members from across Kentucky. All experience levels are welcome! 🌲.

This course supports KICL&rsquo;s commitment to providing exceptional coach training by giving you practical, hands-on skills for real situations. KY NICA Coach CPR Certification

Earn your OTB101 &amp; OTB201 coach certification and build confident, capable student riders. This on-the-bike clinic covers fundamental MTB skills, risk management practices, and clear teaching progressions so you can lead Kentucky youth on the trail with confidence. 🚵&zwj;♀️ By registering, you help KICL grow confident teams where every student can ride, learn, and belong. For this course you will need to bring a water bottle, bike, helmet, and a snack. ✅ NICA&rsquo;s OTB101 course is required for all Level 2 and 3 coaches. OTB 101 introduces the essential mountain bike skills that student-athletes need, while also helping coaches learn how to effectively teach these skills in a youth development setting. Its primary function is not to teach coaches themselves to be better riders; the primary outcome is for coaches to gain a full understanding of how to deliver impactful, competent skills instruction. NICA&rsquo;s OTB201 course is a five-hour, in-person intermediate-to-advanced skills training clinic that builds on the foundational skills of OTB 101. In addition to learning how to effectively teach new skills, coaches participate in hands-on practice instruction in the form of &ldquo;teach backs&rdquo; to their fellow clinic participants. Coaches receive a pocket-sized field guide and a digital skills manual.OTB 201 is not required for coach licensure, but offers a great opportunity for coaches looking to expand their coaching and facilitation skills. The course counts as 5 continuing education units (CEUs). **You must complete your OTB101 before you can complete your OTB201 certification. Please do not register for both.** Questions?
