Kindness for Chrissy

Kindness for Chrissy promotes kindness and compassion through community initiatives, supporting families affected by childhood illness, and fostering a spirit of giving to honor Chrissy's legacy.

At the Kindness for Chrissy Foundation, we believe small acts of kindness can create lasting change and sometimes that change can begin with something as simple as a book.We are excited to launch our Kindness Starts with a Book project, providing Book Vending Machines to schools and community organizations where children can be recognized for kindness, positive behavior, and making good choices.Our first Kindness for Chrissy Book Vending Machine will be donated to First Lutheran. The machine will be filled with books that encourage kindness, positive character, friendship, faith, and a love for reading.But we don&#39;t want the kindness to stop with the first machine.This is a year-round Kindness for Chrissy project, and we need our community&#39;s help to keep it growing.You can help by donating new children&#39;s books, making a donation to help us continually restock our machines, or contributing toward the purchase and placement of our next Book Vending Machine in the community.Every book matters.Every donation matters.Every child who chooses kindness matters.Together, we can fill more than vending machines. We can fill children&#39;s hearts and minds with stories that inspire them to choose kindness and share it with others.Help us turn one machine into many and continue Chrissy&#39;s legacy of kindness one child, one book, and one act of kindness at a time.

Each fall, our family comes together with friends, community members, and the Los Angeles Kings to make tie blankets that are given to those in need during the winter months.This project holds a very special place in our hearts. Christiana loved making blankets with her family each year, and today we continue that tradition in her honor. We gather around tables, tie blankets, share stories, and bring people together through the same kindness and love that Christiana shared so freely.Each handmade blanket costs approximately $20&ndash;$25 to make and is given with love to help bring warmth and comfort to someone in need.If this project connects with your heart and you would like to support the Kindness for Chrissy Foundation in this way, please consider donating the cost of a blanket or two. By purchasing a ticket to our Kindness for Chrissy Empty Bowl Event, you are helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. Your support helps in the fight against human trafficking and provides critical resources for individuals and families facing hardship in our communities.Come hungry and enjoy BBQ from the famous Harry&rsquo;s Smokehouse in Lomita, along with inspiring guest speakers, a silent auction, drinks, music, and plenty of country fun!Most importantly, this evening is about coming together and remembering that even the simplest act of kindness can make a lasting impact. Together, we can fill empty bowls with hope, love, compassion, and kindness.
