The Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court 383 empowers the Wilmington community through faith-based service, providing scholarships, feeding the hungry, and supporting homeless families, while fostering spiritual growth and social justice.

Dear Friends,&nbsp;The Knights and Ladies of Saint Peter Claver Council and Court #383 proudly celebrate 20 years of service to the church and to the greater Wilmington community through our purposeful support to our church and with our unyielding commitment to enable our youth with educational scholarship at all grade levels, feeding those who hunger and assisting homeless families during their transition toward affordable housing. &nbsp; To celebrate the milestone of our 20th Anniversary, &ldquo;Revolution of Faith, Evolution of Service&rdquo;, the Knights and Ladies of Saint Peter Claver Council and Court #383 will host a gala on September 19, 2026 at the DoubleTree Hotel. &nbsp; We invite you to partner with us by supporting this milestone celebration through a monetary donation with the purchase an advertisement in our Commemorative Souvenir Digital Journal or by being one of our sponsors. &nbsp;&nbsp;Proceeds from our event will be used to support our benevolent community service endeavors. &nbsp;&nbsp;Prepare Camera ready art for the digital souvenir journal in high resolution at least 300 dpi or more. &nbsp;Pictures should be submitted in the following formats: jpg or pdf. &nbsp;Tributes or congratulations must be in word document format.&nbsp;&nbsp;Submit the ads to the attention of Brother Vincent Caesar at <a fr-original-style="" href="mailto:kpclacourt383@gmail.com" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; -webkit-user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">kpclacourt383@gmail.com</a>Deadline for the submission of ads is August 25, 2026. &nbsp;Excitement is in the air!&nbsp; Get ready to be part of something extraordinary at the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary - Wilmington Council and Court&#39;s&nbsp; 20th Anniversary Gala.&nbsp; It&#39;s an event like no other, and we want you to be there! &nbsp; Father Joseph Francis Council and Saint Josephine Bakhita Court 383 are proud to celebrate its Twenty Year Legacy through a Revolution of Faith and Evolution of Service. &nbsp; We are dedicated to supporting the church and uplifting the greater Wilmington Community with services and initiatives for the youth such as scholarship at all grade levels, feeding the hungry, and supporting homeless families in need.&nbsp; Every registration to this event will assist us in continuing to achieve our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all. Our anniversary celebration will be held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, 4727 Concord Pike, Wilm., DE 19803, beginning at 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The Knights of Peter Claver, Inc. and Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary is the largest African-American lay Catholic organization in the world. &nbsp;Our Fraternal Order is 102 years old &nbsp;With units located in 34 of the United States and San Andress Island, Columbia, South America. It boasts over 1000 Councils (Knights divisions), Courts (Ladies divisions), Junior Councils (young men) and &nbsp;Junior Courts (young ladies) throughout the Country. The organization was founded by four Josephite priests and three lay Catholic men in 1909 in Mobile, Alabama. The Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary invite all parishioners to be actively involved in their Catholic faith by living the Gospel message.&nbsp;Our Council and Court #383, the first in the State of Delaware, were established at St. Joseph Catholic Church on September 23, 2006 with 13 charter members of the Knights and 17 charter members of the Ladies Auxiliary. &nbsp;Our membership is comprised of people from several parishes &nbsp;- St. Joseph (French Street), Christ Our King and St. Helena in Wilmington, Holy Spirit in New Castle, &nbsp;St. Joseph in Middletown, and St. John Fisher in Boothwyn, PA. We were organized under the leadership of our first Grand Knight, Darryl Simms and first Grand Lady Deborah Robinson. &nbsp;To date, our membership totals 20 Knights and 33 Ladies and we continue to grow and inspire under the guidance of our current Grand Knight Earl MacFarlane and Grand Lady Loretta L. Young.&nbsp;Under the auspices of the Knights and Ladies, we respond to the spiritual and physical needs of our church and community. Our goals are to support our pastor, parish and bishop; to be active as a group in community affairs; to engage in opportunities that will allow us to demonstrate our Catholicism; to allow for social interaction by creating gatherings that might foster a sense of community; to provide for the awarding of scholarships; to develop the character of youth;&nbsp;and to provide social and intellectual stimulation for our members.&nbsp;We contribute our time, talent and treasures to the church by participating and serving as Greeters, Lectors, Parish Lay Council members, parish nurses, members of the prison ministry, Parish Liturgy Committees, St. Vincent dePaul Society, administrators, and many other activities.&nbsp;Members of Council and Court #383 serve the community in various ways: We are members of School Boards in the Diocese of Wilmington, Diocesan Liturgy Commission, Respect Life Committee, Women&rsquo;s Commission, Delaware Alliance of Catholic School Parents, the Wilmington Diocese Gospel Choir, the Ministry for Black Catholics, Head Start, and Leadership Enrichment Arts Program (LEAP), Family Promise, Urban Promise, Emmanu Dining Room, to name a few. Our community involvement is extensive and there is no area of social action or social justice where Clavers are not participants. Thank you for supporting our mission, your support is invaluable.
