Samaritan FundAt La Mesa Presbyterian Church, we believe we are called to care for our neighbors in times of hardship.Our Samaritan Fund allows the pastor and church leadership to respond quickly when individuals or families in our community face an unexpected short-term crisis. These situations may include emergency utility bills, temporary housing needs, transportation challenges, food insecurity, prescription assistance, or other urgent needs that can overwhelm someone already struggling.Unlike our Food Pantry ministry, which provides ongoing food assistance, the Samaritan Fund is designed to offer compassionate, immediate help during difficult moments — helping people regain stability, dignity, and hope.Every donation, large or small, directly strengthens our ability to respond when someone turns to the church for help.Your generosity allows us to:Assist families facing temporary financial hardshipHelp prevent utility shutoffs or housing instabilityProvide emergency support during times of crisisExtend Christ’s love in practical and meaningful waysThank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Christ in our community.
