Lafayette Community Fridge

Lafayette Community Fridge combats food insecurity by providing accessible, community-driven food resources. They offer a network of fridges stocked with fresh food for those in need, fostering a culture of sharing and support within Lafayette.

This quilt, Louisiana Crawfish 2.0, was made by hand by Becky Haaland and donated to the Lafayette Community Fridge. One of a kind, Louisiana crawfish, red and teal. Somebody is taking it home on November 1, and it might as well be you. From Becky:"Quilting is my passion. I love the art form. With 11 years in the quilting world, I've gifted ALL my family and friends. I've participated in judged shows and then went to exhibition shows. These days, I'm now quilting more for my community and I always pray for God to direct me where the quilts go. Louisiana Crawfish 2.0 was made specifically to be donated and I always 'knew' it would go to the Foodies of Lafayette Community Fridge project. To help our community with food issues is close to my heart. I have donated quilts in the past for dog rescue with great results. And I am confident that this quilt will do the same and raise much needed funds for the Community Fridges. Thank you for buying tickets and supporting this much needed project." Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Every dollar goes to the Lafayette Community Fridge and keeps the fridges stocked for neighbors who need them. The winner is drawn live at 12:30 PM at the Foodies of Lafayette Friendsgiving Potluck and Food Drive on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Lagneaux's, 445 Ridge Road, Lafayette. You do not need to be present to win. We will call the winner at the phone number on the ticket. Want to be in the room for the drawing? Friendsgiving is free to attend. Bring a dish and a bag of pantry items for the food drive, and come see the quilt in person. Save your spot at Friendsgiving Your ticket number is on the e-ticket emailed to you after purchase.
