Laoma King, was a woman of extraordinary faith, grace, and compassion. Her life was a living testimony to what it means to love, serve, and uplift others. As such I wanted to carry forward the legacy she left behind, I founded Laoma King Legacy of Love, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to turning challenges into opportunities for children and families.

Last year, with the generous support of family, the community, friends and many prayers, we:

Donated Easter baskets to children living in shelters
Provided financial support to two women at the Coastal Center for Help and Healing
Provided lunch to children at a local school in New Bern

These simple acts of kindness meant the world to those who received them. And with your help this year, we’re ready to do even more—launching scholarships and educational training opportunities to give hope and resources to those in need.

On Saturday, July 26, we’ll host our inaugural Laoma King Legacy Of Love Sunset Dinner Cruise Fundraiser—a beautiful evening of purpose and celebration, and we’d love for you to be part of it. We’ll have Mrs. Valentina Wilson, anchorwoman at WCTI-TV 12 in New Bern, NC as our host, music, a buffet dinner, prizes such as a weekend stay at a beautiful beach house in Atlantic Beach, NC, beautiful waterfront views and so much more; all for a great purpose. We wanted to see you on the boat!!!
