The fee covers all instructional materials including books and sheet music, sectional coaches, guest conductors, supplies, technology, and social events.The Student Fee includes: ✔ The Lassiter Orchestra T-Shirt✔ Student ticket to the annual awards banquet✔ Supplemental instruction through workshops, clinics, and fall/winter camps ✔ Equipment such as tuners, shoulder rests, batteries, rock stops, rosin, cloths, steel wool, etc. ✔ Yearly purchase of new music for orchestra and small ensembles, method books ✔ Guest instructors, performers, or clinicians for sectionals ✔ Bus transportation on some orchestra field trips ✔ Entry fees and recording fees for performance evaluation or other performances ✔ Fees for performance sites and maintenance ✔ Student recognition awards – certificates, medals, and orchestra letters ✔ Food on competition days, after concerts, for workshops, and hospitality events ✔ Assist with purchases of new instruments and equipment ✔ Instrument and bow repairs and replacement Chamber Orchestra additional fee includes student admission to the KSU Orchestra Invitational, bussing to and from the event, and dinner at the incredible KSU Commons.This fee may be tax deductible, as the LHSOA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The “Friends of the Orchestra” is a donation campaign to benefit the Lassiter High School Orchestra Association. The Lassiter High School Orchestra Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization that supports the students within the LHS Orchestra program.
