LCMS Atlantic District

The LCMS Atlantic District empowers congregations to share the Gospel, support ministries, and foster community through faith-based initiatives, encouraging members to live joyfully, patiently, and faithfully in their witness to God's glory.

Witness in the Public Square&nbsp;Celebration of Our Lord&rsquo;s Grace This Year&#39;s Honorees:Ms. Judith BenkeMs. Mildred FinkThe Rev. Kenneth Schnepp, Jr. Including:The Holy Eucharist and Installation at 10AM of&nbsp;The Rev. Biruk Chiksa and&nbsp;The Rev. Samuel Wondemuas Missionaries-at-Large of the Atlantic District of The Lutheran Church&mdash;Missouri Synod Cocktails and the luncheon to follow in the Rose Suite on the Ballroom Floor of Terrace on the Park at 11AM.

Joyful, Patient, Faithful &nbsp;&ldquo;Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer&rdquo;&nbsp;(Romans 12:12) NIV &nbsp;Convention Goal:By the power of the Holy Spirit, I will live my life of witness to the glory of God.&nbsp;&nbsp;Convention Objectives:+ Embrace the hope of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus.&nbsp;+ Endure the hardships that befall us.&nbsp;+ Talk to our Heavenly Father in all circumstances.&nbsp;+ Be glad and tell our story of Jesus.

27th Biennial LWML Atlantic District Convention

Witness in the Public Square is the primary mission funding event of the LCMS Atlantic District. It has provided over 2.3 million dollars of support to mission endeavors throughout the Atlantic District and around the world during the past two decades. These funds have supported work among many Chinese, Korean, Bengali, Liberian, Pakistani, and others in our midst in New York; feeding people in Liberia during the Ebola crisis; social ministry efforts during times of natural disaster
