9/25. One Day. One Legacy. Thousands of Stories Yet to Be Read. On Friday, September 25th, the Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin is honoring Dolly Parton's life and her lifelong commitment to childhood literacy.Dolly spent decades putting books in children's hands and giving them the chance to dream bigger. On 9/25, we are going 9 to 5 for Dolly and asking our community to help raise funds for the LCPB Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Your gift supports the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which delivers a free book every month to children from birth to age 5 across the Texas counties LCPB serves. Every $5 places one book in a child's hands.
