Literacy for Growth 2026The 4th Annual Literacy SummitHosted by the Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin 📅&nbsp;April 29, 2026⏰ 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM CST📍 Ellen No&euml;l Art Museum | Odessa, Texas Join us for Literacy for Growth 2026, a regional summit focused on strengthening workforce readiness and economic growth through literacy across West Texas. This half day event will bring together educators, workforce leaders, employers, nonprofit organizations, and community partners to explore strategies that connect adult education, English language learning, GED attainment, and essential skills development with the needs of today&rsquo;s workforce. Keynote SpeakerJacqueline &ldquo;Jackie&rdquo; AguileraCOABE&rsquo;s 2026 Administrator of the Year Jackie Aguilera is a nationally recognized leader in adult education who works to strengthen learning ecosystems through collaboration, innovation, and learner-first design. As part of the Literacy Texas team, she leads community initiatives and supports statewide professional learning while building partnerships that expand opportunity for adult learners. Whether you work in education, workforce development, business, or community leadership, this summit offers opportunities to connect, learn, and advance solutions that support a stronger workforce and brighter futures across the Permian Basin.

At this stakeholders meeting, we&rsquo;ll share local data, current outreach, listen to community perspectives, and identify practical ways to expand adult literacy and workforce pipeline initiatives in our area.
