Our mission is to create an inclusive, accessible ecosystem of care through therapeutic services, courses, events and interest groups for the community. 🌟Beep beep!🌟We&#39;ve got a plan to really drive access and engagement with early intervention services for children 0-3 years old in Oregon.&nbsp; Maitri Magic Speech Bus!!!&nbsp; Meeting families where they are at literally and figuratively can help break down barriers they face when seeking developmental assessments and support. Did you know that in 2016, the only study of its kind to assess the procedural quality and timeliness of&nbsp;federally protected early intervention services demonstrated that of the of 14,710 children eligible for services based on disability diagnosis alone only&nbsp;2,746&nbsp;were referred, only 722 were evaluated, only 571&nbsp;families initiated early intervention services and just 448 completed their care plan to participate in functional outcome data collection. That is just THREE PERCENT!!!! &nbsp;Furthermore, the outcomes measures indicated that more than half of 448 children received&nbsp;delayed and low intensity care. &nbsp; In Oregon, 8,154 children ages 3-5 received special education services from 2024-2025. Less than half of that number received early intervention services for birth through 2. &nbsp; &nbsp;94% of children that received special education services qualified under diagnoses of speech/language impairment (37%), hearing impairment (1%), Autism (18%), Developmental delay (38%). Most of those children have not been evaluated by a licensed speech language pathologist before entering the program. Enter the Maitri Community Learning Collective Raffle 2026 to support accessible learning for all! Your ticket helps us offer low-cost services, courses, events, and spaces where families can connect, learn and grow together!&nbsp; Waitlists for evaluations are up to TWO YEARS LONG and specialty services are expensive. Families are overwhelmed and isolated, looking for their village, their community.&nbsp; Help us connect families with the therapeutic supports and resources they need to support their child. &nbsp;With your help we are creating a more supportive, informed and inclusive world for our children to be exactly who they are.
