Malheur Field Station

LXCL:Malheur Field Station is a non-profit educational facility located on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Malheur Field Station facilitates educational activities and exploration in the Northern Great&nbsp; Basin. We offer public and group lodging, dining services, and formal and informal educational programming.

MFS Appreciation Day is a day for those who cherish the field station to come together, have fun, and celebrate! Come see all the most recent improvements, and new projects in process!&nbsp;Mingle with our Board, new director, and staff while enjoying the magic of the Malheur Field Station.&nbsp; Agenda:&nbsp; 1pm - 2:30pm: Close Encounters with Elena &amp; her educational raptors. Enjoy meeting owls, falcons, hawks, and learning about&nbsp; 2:30 - 4pm: Tile Art Project: Paint a tile that will be hung on a wall in the field station to be seen for years to come!&nbsp; 4:30 - 5:30: Happy Hour!&nbsp; 6:00 - 7:00: Dinner&nbsp; 7:30: Board Presentation&nbsp;

MFS Appreciation Day

Join us for a live falconry demonstration at Malheur Field Station 🦅 and experience raptors up close in the landscape that supports their survival. Learn how trained birds of prey hunt, fly, and interact with their environment. Licensed falconer Mark Moore will lead groups for a two-hour session that will include up-close interactions with his falcon, and a tour onto BLM land to observe her fly and eat.&nbsp; Timing of each event is very weather dependent. It is possible we need to change the event timings for the safety of the falcon.&nbsp; **Weather Conditions: If the weather is otherwise unsafe for the falcon, we will reschedule either to a different time during the same day or another day. The safety and well being of the falcon is the top priority!** We will be in touch with you 1-2 days prior to your event with any time changes.&nbsp; This event supports our mission to provide immersive education in the Malheur ecosystem.&nbsp; Register below to reserve your spot and deepen your understanding of wildlife, habitat, and conservation in this remarkable place.

This retreat reflects Malheur Field Station&rsquo;s mission: accessible, place-based learning that deepens care for the natural world&mdash;and for ourselves. Retreat is all inclusive, with lodging, fresh meals, instructors, and transportation based from the Malheur Field Station.&nbsp;

Wings & Yoga All-Inclusive Birding and Wellness Retreat

Join GSOC&rsquo;s fall trip to Malheur Field Station with Dr. Dave Sherrod!&nbsp;This all-inclusive adventure includes your lodging, complete meals - cooked fresh daily, along with transportation during the trip.&nbsp; You&#39;ll be staying in one of the field station lodges!
