The MC 917 Foundation, Inc. is the nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization of The Monday Club, Inc. The Monday Club, believed to be the oldest Black Men’s Social Club in the United States with its beginnings noted as 1876, continues The Monday Club Historic Philanthropic, in association with the MC 917 Foundation, Inc. The Monday Club’s 1896 cornerstone date marks the year the State of Delaware granted the first charter. Historically, members of The Club serve the Delaware community.MC 917 continues the tradition of community involvement by subsidizing mentoring programs, providing neighborhood sports teams’ uniform. in partnership with Rosehill Community Center, Hicks Anderson Community Center and People’s Settlement Association MC 917 gives turkeys to those in need during the holidays. Our Adopt-A-Family’s wish list program contributes to families in our local community, clothes for the families and books for tots.
