The mission of the Miss Rodeo Arkansas Scholarship Organization is to organize, coordinate, administer and promote a scholarship program to provide educational opportunities. Your donation to the Scholarship Fund will help us grow the amount of scholarship available for titleholders and build a sustainable fund for future scholarships. We hold an annual pageant to determine the next Miss Rodeo Arkansas titleholders who serve the community, and promote the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the rodeo, equine and agricultural industries that encompass the western way of life. EducationWe provide scholarships to our Miss titleholders in addition to Miss contestants who place in the pageant. Our former titleholders have entered a wide range of fields, from agriculture research, to marketing, to landscape architecture! Several graduated from Ivy League schools, such as Harvard and Cornell. Many of our alumni agree that the skills they learned as a Miss Rodeo Arkansas titleholder were beneficial in their career pursuits. ServiceWe encourage Miss Rodeo Arkansas titleholders to pursue a community service platform that interests them and share their platform with the people they interact with at rodeos across the country. For example, Miss Rodeo Arkansas 2018, [Bayleigh (Warren) Bowman] promoted "R.O.P.E. - Respecting Other People Everywhere" and volunteered at Hope Campus in Fort Smith. Miss Rodeo Arkansas 2019-2020 [Susan Rhodes] campaigned "Tough Enough to Talk" supporting suicide prevention, working with the Arkansas Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Promotion of professional rodeo and the western way of lifeMiss Rodeo Arkansas titleholders promote the sport of rodeo in many ways: attending rodeos, carrying flags, pushing stock, interviewing on radio and television, signing autographs, visiting sponsors, and much more! Our Miss Rodeo Arkansas also competes for the title of Miss Rodeo America during the pageant in Las Vegas, NV concurrent with the National Finals Rodeo! Your donation to the Scholarship Fund will help us grow the amount of the scholarship we can offer.
