Our Vegetable Gardening Class Series continues… giving less experienced vegetable growers the information they need to succeed. How’s Your Garden Growing? Have Questions? Ask a Master Gardener! Every vegetable garden has its ups and downs by mid-summer. Some plants are thriving and giving it their all, while others might be struggling to keep up due to pests or other issues. By this time of the year, gardeners often have a few questions. They might wonder what’s wrong with a particular plant, if there’s anything they can do to save it, or how to extend the growing season. This class is all about answering YOUR questions and helping you plan for the rest of the growing season in your garden. Feel free to bring samples if you have them, and Master Gardeners will be there to guide you and provide some helpful answers.

Native Plant Gardening for Habitat and the Environment Learn how gardening with native plants can provide habitat for invertebrates and improve the environment. This introductory class will empower you to increase the biodiversity and beauty surrounding your home. Did you know that California is a biodiversity hotspot? California has more species of native plants than any other state in the US, and many of these plants are found nowhere else in the world. They form the basis of the ecosystems and natural processes that surround us. We have the privilege as gardeners to cultivate an incredible array of beautiful plants that are native to our specific locations and microclimates. Come join this introductory class to learn about California native plants that are easy to grow and provide habitat for insects.
