The mission of Moore Symphony Orchestra is to enrich our community through accessible symphonic music, bringing together student and adult musicians in an intergenerational orchestra that inspires artistic growth, meaningful performance, and a lifelong connection to music.

Moore Symphony Orchestra (MSO), formerly Moore Philharmonic Orchestra, is Moore County’s intergenerational community orchestra, bringing together advancing student musicians and experienced adult musicians through a shared commitment to symphonic music. MSO is a tuition-free, volunteer-led nonprofit organization.Each season, MSO presents two full symphony concerts for the community:December — Annual Holiday ConcertMay — Annual Spring ConcertAdmission to MSO concerts is offered with a donation of the patron’s choice, helping us keep our performances accessible to everyone. In addition to our season concerts, MSO musicians participate in community events and performances throughout the year.Your support makes our mission possible.MSO relies on sponsorships, donations, fundraising, and community support to remain tuition-free for our musicians and continue offering accessible performances to the community. Contributions help fund music and performance materials, concert and rehearsal venues, scholarships, operating expenses, equipment, and other program needs.Moore Symphony Orchestra is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and appropriate charitable contribution documentation will be provided.Sponsorship OpportunitiesSeveral sponsorship levels are available, select the sponsorship level that best fits you, your business, or your organization. Every sponsorship, at every level, plays an important role in supporting MSO and its musicians.Sponsors will receive recognition in our season concert programs and on MSO social media, along with any additional benefits included with their selected sponsorship level.Thank you for supporting Moore Symphony Orchestra and helping us continue bringing musicians and our community Together in Symphony.

Submit the Moore Symphony Orchestra $10 non-refundable audition fee for your 8th grade student here. This helps cover the costs of music, venue, and adjudication so we can offer a fair, focused audition experience.Once the fee has been received, audition music will be sent to you via email.Please note that sight-reading will be required as part of the audition.By completing this form, you support Moore Symphony Orchestra’s mission to provide young musicians with meaningful opportunities to perform, grow, and develop as part of an intergenerational symphony orchestra. Please enter your student’s information carefully so we can match the payment to their audition.
