Mt. Washington Valley Choral Society

The Mt. Washington Valley Choral Society enriches the community through the performance of classical choral music, fostering a love for the arts while providing opportunities for local singers to collaborate with professional musicians.

<p fr-original-style="" style="margin: 0px; width: 100%; line-height: 1.5; box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The Mount Washington Valley Choral Society explores a panoply of American choral music in celebration of the country&#39;s 250th anniversary! Central to the program is Florence Price&#39;s &quot;Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight,&quot; composed in 1950 but lost and not premiered until 2019. This performance marks the first time the work has been performed in the state of Maine. The concert also features works by Randall Thompson, Alice Parker, Aaron Copland, Eric Whitacre, Stephen Paulus, Harry Burleigh, Andre Thomas, and Gwyneth Walker. Music Director George Wiese conducts the concert, accompanied by pianist Dan Moore. 🎶</p>
