The Muskingum County Arts Council fosters a vibrant community through arts and culture, enhancing well-being and economic vitality. By mapping cultural assets and supporting local artists, they inspire creativity and pride in Muskingum County.

Come paint an underwater scene using the Watercolor Resist technique! This event is FREE and open to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students. This event is sponsored by the J.W. &amp; M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation.

Join Macy Morgan for an afternoon of music inspired by the sounds of blowing wind and flowing water. This program invites children in kindergarten and 1st grade to imagine, explore, and connect with nature through sound. **No holds are permitted for this event. You must complete the registration in full, including the child&rsquo;s name and emergency contact information. The mission of the&nbsp;Muskingum County Arts Council is to create an engaged and vibrant community through arts, humanities, and culture; we envision a Muskingum County that is a welcoming and inspiring community to creative people and industries, which enhances health and well-being, stimulates minds, creates pride, leading to economic vitality for all.&nbsp; We know that change starts with people like you. By being one of our first 50 donors and giving us at least $50 US, we will add your name to our website to highlight the importance of your gift in the inaugural campaign of the organization. The Muskingum County Arts Council has already achieved so much in so little time.<ol fr-original-style="" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Cultural Asset Map: We are mapping our cultural assets, from historical buildings and landscapes to current cultural businesses, the cultural asset map celebrates all that Muskingum County has to offer.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Independent Artist Registry: Showcasing those artists working out of their homes or other private locations in order to support their success.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Arts Entrepreneurship Conference: We are in the process of planning a conference that will take place in May 2027 that will connect artists with professionals and resources in the field&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Grants for Independent Artists: Linked on our website is a spreadsheet we have compiled for independent artists looking for grants</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Straker Series: This year we are hosting four events sponsored by the Straker Foundation that allow us to give children in the county access to different forms of art including: music, painting, dance, and 3D ceramic printing.</li></ol>Be a part of the first donors supporting our mission!
